There are tons of articles and blog posts about how you should run your blog:
- How to Increase Blog Traffic in a Fraction of a Second
- 5 Things You Aren't Doing That You Should Be Doing.
The articles/titles are endless. It's easy to assume you should do every thing that every article says, especially if you're a newbie (or even in a bit of a rut). Don't get me wrong; I think they’re all coming from a good place. It's not from a place of bossiness are being a "know-it-all."
But I’m going to ask you a question, and I won’t you to be honest with yourself:
Do you really care?
You don’t have to answer me on this but it’s something you should think about.
There are so many rules out there about being this and doing that and it’s so easy to become focused on it because said great blogger (who really is a great blogger) said you should, and thus, you’re spending your time trying to learn something that gives you a headache, or putting so much into something else.
And yes, I’m perfectly aware that I offer advice to help you do (fill in the blank). But I want to you to also know this:
to follow it.
It’s out there in the universe in case you’re wondering or lost and you feel it applies to you.
If it’s not your cup of tea or it doesn’t apply to your goals or you simply couldn’t care less...
Do things the way you seek fit. Don’t feel like you have to be a clone and do things her way or his way.
Until next time,
